Supporting Public Education Advocacy

Action Team

Our Supporting Public Education action team is dedicated to supporting well-funded, inclusive public schools where every student has the opportunity to succeed. Partnering with like-minded organizations, we address critical state and local public education issues, focusing on promoting religious freedom, access to diverse learning materials, and equitable opportunities for all.

Our team has challenged proposals for chaplains in public schools as well as the Bible- infused curriculum proposed by the Texas Education Agency. We have also organized to oppose the Texas governor’s support of vouchers (ESAs) that will divert public funds to private schools.

We promote diverse library materials that foster inclusive and enriching educational experiences. And we are a huge advocate for increased funding for public schools so that all students have the resources they need to thrive, and we enthusiastically support increased compensation for public school teachers.
